What’s happening at distrikt bar?

Located on Duncan Street, just around the corner from the bustling Call Lane, distrikt is Leeds most unique underground bar.

Founded in 2009, distrikt was the brainchild of five highly innovative yet unique individuals all specializing in a certain aspect of the bar industry, hoping to offer Leeds a fresh perspective on the bar/restaurant environment.

Check out what’s on there in August:

August 7th – Gas House Kids

These Kids are everywhere at the moment DJ’ing in all the major nights in Leeds but there is only one place they will hold their own event and thats at distirkt bar. After a huge launch party the gas house kids return and with some friends this time too featuring Cafe Orange lady of the moment Reeshy and Circular Resident Farrow!

14th August – Albion Records Showcase

Albion Records is a Leeds based talent which has found recognition worldwide it’s seen releases from Ark, De Sluwe Vos , Rick Wade and Samuel Deep to name a few speaking of Samuel Deep he’s their next guest down at distrikt.

Samuel Deep is a young house-DJ and -producer, born and raised in Utrecht. He is the founder and co-owner of SlapFunk, an infamous party host and label. As a matter of fact, the first ever SlapFunk party was held to celebrate his birthday. Today he really have claimed his spot in the Dutch scene. If he’s not playing parties, Samuel spends most of his time crate digging. Black gold is pretty much the love of his life and his collection is steadily growing. Samuel Deep owes his short but successful career to modesty, dedication and ambition. If there ‘s anyone out there who knows how to rock the crowd, it’s this guy. Wherever. Whenever.

August 28th – Bobby O’ Donnell – ALL NIGHT LONG!

It goes without saying Bobby is one of the better DJ’s in Leeds and we’d say in the country and it’s a pleasure to have the mint club veteran play a all nighter down at everybodys favourite bar!

With a sonic remit couched in deep house and spacious, spiritual techno, Bobby has recently unleashed his first analogue productions on the world, and boy did they take note: first up Fred P released one of his tracks on his influential Boards compilation, then more releases have followed on his own label Strobewax, Mora Music, Catch and Illusion do yourself a favour and don’t miss this!
