It has already been a typically busy summer at Leeds United, and that is still with the players to come back for pre-season training at the start of July.

It’s a big season ahead for the club and I know for a fact that everybody involved is determined to ensure that a higher finish than last time out is achieved.

Leeds United

Massimo Cellino returned to his role as Chairman early last month and the wheels were soon put in motion for the new season as Lewis Cook, one of the club’s brightest talents, signed a new two-year deal to keep him at Elland Road. This came just a week after Lewis had been crowned as the 2014/15 Young Player of the Year at our recent End of Season awards dinner. Lewis only broke into the team last summer at the age of just 17, but people at the club have been raving about him for years and you could be forgiven for thinking you were watching a seasoned pro with a wealth of experience.

Lewis was just one of the worthy winners on what proved to be a fantastic night and a great way to end the season at Leeds United Elland Road’s Centenary Pavilion.

In addition to Lewis committing his future to Leeds United, we have also welcomed two new arrivals in the shape of Adam Pearson and Uwe Rosler.

Adam, who has a wealth of experience in football, has taken the role of Executive Director at Elland Road and will assist Mr Cellino in all aspects of running the club. He knows the club particularly well from his time here as Commercial Director and his arrival has been seen on a par to a new signing by the supporters.

Adam was followed through the doors at Elland Road by Uwe a week later after he was appointed as the new head coach. Due to the popularity of Neil Redfearn, Uwe knows he may have to win over sections of the crowd, but he is a strong character and has dealt well with difficult situations throughout his career. He comes with a strong reputation in football and I wish him the best of luck here.

I hope you all have a good June and enjoy the many events in and around the City that are going on. I May even see you at a few of them!!
