Our man Rob Chadwick is back with his pick of the best club nights and gigs in Leeds.

Here we are the then; with the students returning we see the fun and frolics of the freshers parties come into their prime. The city will be bustling full of youthful ravers ready to cut their cloth in our beloved city.

If you’re into the Britpop era then look no further than a trip down memory lane with The Bluetones who perform o2 Academy Leeds on 16th Academy. Tracks like ‘If’ and ‘Slight Return’ are sure fire ways of bringing back some nostaligic 90’s vibes.

The big hitter of the month witnesses another return with Mint Festival providing us with some techno, house and grime across its arenas at Wetherby Race Course. Sven Vath returns with Maya Jane Coles, Skream, Zip and grime front runner Skepta all supporting the German. Events take place over 19th and 20th September.

Then all roads gravitate to the back end of the month kicking off on 25th at Brudenell Social Club where Spiritulized return to Leeds off the back of recording a fresh full length. The legendary punk bands come back will be one not to be missed. On the very same night Wire Club host their aptly titled ‘One Night With…’ series with none other than ex Leeds Uni student Midland. Releasing on the likes of Aus and his own imprint Graded this will be a sure fire winner for the returning student and punter.

Further more we see local jaunt Distrikt throw a free showcase with Ryan Crosson, 1/3 of Visionquest to round off the month in style.
