After a short summer break, it’s all systems go again at Leeds United with the players now back in for pre-season training as they prepare for the year ahead.
There are a couple of new faces, too, with young players Lee Erwin and Charlie Horton having already signed up, while a number of additions have been made to the backroom staff and the Senior Management team.
We have also welcomed Italian sportswear brand Kappa to the club as our new kit provider for the next five years, so there’s always something happening here even before the games have started.
We now know that Burnley will be the first visitors to Elland Road of the new season and the release of the fixture list means that the lives of everybody at the football club are already mapped out for the next 10 months or so. Everyone is truly back into ‘football mode’ now and the holidays are already a distant memory.
It’s difficult to predict what to expect next season but we can pretty much guarantee that there will never be a dull moment at Leeds United. Further new signings could arrive before the first game and who knows what else could happen off the pitch.
What I do know is that there is a real buzz and positive feel around the club at the minute and hopefully that will be reflected on the pitch when the players return to action.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to those people who nominated me and for all of you who voted for me for Leeds City Employee of the Year. It worked!!! I am still a little stuck for words (which for those who know me, would say was impossible)!!!
