Now a household name, Michael McIntyre is heading out on the road again with his new laugh-a-minute tour, Happy & Glorious.
Since his big break at the Royal Variety Performance in 2006, Michael has become one of the most successful and best-loved British comedians with his previous tour, Showtime, becoming biggest selling comedy tour in the world in 2012, as he played to over 640,000 people including a record-breaking ten-night residency at London’s O2 Arena, which matched Rihanna’s 2011 record.
Michael’s debut DVD, 2008’s Live and Laughing, became the fastest selling of all time, which was soon eclipsed by his second stand-up DVD, Hello Wembley, which sold over 1.4 million copies the year after, while 2012’s Showtime beat its competitors to the Christmas Number One spot!
In recent years Michael has been busy hosting The Michael McIntyre’s Chat Show for BBC1, embarking on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, travelling and performing all over the world from New Zealand to Singapore, Dubai to Norway, and he even joined the judging panel on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.
This year Michael will return to the stage in what is sure to be his biggest, best and of course, funniest, tour yet.
Joining Michael will be fellow comedian and radio presenter, Paul Tonkinson. A regular on the comedy circuit and Time Out Comedy Award winner, Tonkinson has previously appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
