This is Leeds’ first LGBT+ Sport Fringe Festival, created by a group of trainers and activity organisers! 

The event is part of Leeds Pride and all events will be hosted between 28th July and 6th August! Each of these events there will be a small donation of a minimum of £1.50 to secure your place. All of the money from this event which is full supported by Leeds Pride will be donated to ‘DAZL’ – Dance Action Zone Leeds, which is an organisation which provides activities for the most deprived communities in the city also ensure looked after children and children with disabilities and ensure they they get access to opportunities free of charge.

Friday 28th July – 6pm
5-a-side Football Tournament with Armley Leisure Centre working with The Yorkshire Terriers

A selection of teams within the LGBT+ community and supporting businesses taking part in a launch party at Armley Leisure centre working with The Yorkshire Terriers.

Saturday 29th July – 10am
Danny Silk personal Training will be hosting ‘Mutt Walk for Pride, supported by ‘Burns Natural Dog Food’

5k dog was along Leeds and Liverpool Canal, supported by Burns Natural Dog Food. Everyone who takes part will receive a free goodie bag, with some literature and sample of some dry dog food.

Saturday 29th July – 1pm
Danny Silk Personal training will be hosting ‘Leeds to Bingley and Bingley to Leeds Canal Bike ride’

Meeting at the entrance to the canal next to the Hilton Double Tree hotel at 1pm heading towards Bingley stopping off at the Five Locks and having a ‘refreshment’ before heading back to Leeds.

Route Details:

From – To: Leeds to Bingley and Bingley back to Leeds
Distance: 34 miles
Terrain: Canal towpath. Surface is mostly good with some tarmac.

Claire Senior personal training will be hosting ‘All Abilities fun circuit session in Roundhay Park’

This event will be held in Roundhay Park and will be for all abilities!

The Hills have gays and Outdoor Lads will be hosting ‘Pre-Pride The Hills have Gays and Outdoor Lads flock to Hebden Bridge’

‘The Hills have Gays’ and ‘Outdoorlads.com‘ team up to bring you this Pride event! Where it all started for The Hills have Gays,let’s go for a walk up towards Todmorden from Hebden Bridge! A fairly easy walk (as long as you stick to the path). Being honoured to be joined and supported by the UK’s biggest outdoor activity group for gay/bi-sexual men.

Power of Silk Group Training session Abdominal Workout at The Cosmopolitan Hotel

This will be a great starter/taster session focusing on abdominal work, ideal for all from starters to advanced.

Monday 31st July – 7.15pm
Matthais Rieger will be hosting ‘Fitness Combat at The Cosmopolitan Hotel’

Combat fitness is a form of exercise that is derived from military training programs, most notably the United States Marines. The program focuses on both aerobic and strength training with minimal specialised equipment and no need for a set exercise location. Combat fitness revolves around four core tenets: “train like an athlete,” “strive for a harder core,” “take pride in exercise technique” and “don’t allow for any weak spots.”

Steve Frost will be hosting ‘Kick Boxing a taster session’

Steve will be offering an insight into the kickboxing world at ‘Lee Matthews British Military Martial Arts’

Thursday 3rd August – 6.30pm
Leeds Frontrunners will be hosting ‘Canal Run’

Join the Frontrunners for an early evening run along Leeds and Liverpool canal. meeting outside Candlebar and heading west along the towpath towards Kirkstall. The towpath is flat and fairly even underfoot. They’ll operate an out and back route so easy to measure your distance and when you need to turn back!

Thursday 3rd August – 6.45pm
Helena Byles will be hosting “LGBT Yoga for Pride 2017′

An induction to the basics of yoga… get strong, flexible and de-stress, all in 60 minutes!

Join Helena (as seen on ‘Made in Leeds TV’) at her studio in Headingley for a special class inclusive to everybody in celebration of Leeds Pride 2017.

Leeds Frontrunners will be hosting ‘Pride 5k Park Run’

Leeds Frontrunners are taking over Woodhouse Moor park-run again! Come and join them for a fun trot around the park accompanied by an assortment of rainbow flags and glitter. There may even be a freebie or two!
